Our vision is to create a community which works together so all Pasco County students will reach their highest potential.  The District School Board of Pasco County focuses on a future where students arrive fully prepared for success in the 21st century interconnected age.  Our conceptual model of schooling is grounded in the responsible investment of resources to drive optimum planning, vibrant growth and continuous improvement.  Through our shared vision, we commit to providing a world-class education for all students.

The vision’s rationale comes from applying recent and relevant research on best practices in teaching, learning and leading.  Five Guiding Principles lie at the core of our vision and pave the road to the Graduate Outcomes that all students will achieve.

Guiding Principles

Continuous Learning enables students to work at a rate that makes the accomplishment of high standards both challenging and achievable, while Continuity of Care provides programs which meet the full range of academic and developmental needs of all students throughout the prekindergarten through adult educational experience. Ensuring Equity and Excellence demands the provision of educational experiences for all students to have the opportunity to achieve high standards.  The guiding principle of Equity further reiterates the importance of equitable access to successful learning opportunities for all students, regardless of their personal socio-economic status, cultural heritage, cognitive level, or physical ability. Finally, the guiding principle of Innovation supports the need to reinvent educational systems in a changing era full of challenges and opportunities.
